A good dozen wind turbines just outside Gols are a clear indicator of one of the elements that strongly influence the Parndorfer Platte (Parndorfer Plain). Next to the persistent wind, it was the ancient Danube River that shaped the land and deposited pebbles, red gravel and alluvial sands.
